Workflow:
We arrived at Maribor around 10.00 pm. In school we were all warmly welcomed. First we had a meeting where we presented our previous work on the project "School in hospital" in Zagreb. Mentor Konstantina Božak had a short presentation on the current exchange between the School of Midwifery and Public High School for Women – Sisters of Charity Association, where she described the cooperation with the Association for Rare Diseases and the Association of Pragma and volunteering in pediatrics of Vinogradska Hospital. The students Marinela Bombić and Anesa Šabani describe their participation at the International Conference on "Education of children hospitalized in Croatia in the context of the EU" in the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. They compared the treatment of hospitalized children in Croatia, Netherlands and Germany. In particular, we highlight the collaboration with the Children's Hospital Zagreb and their schools at the hospital. Then the teachers from the University Hospital Center in Maribor describe their experiences in teaching school in the hospital. After a successful meeting, we went on a tour of the host school which was very nicely decorated and organized. Colleagues Metka Križ and Mojca Cimerman Galun lead us through. Students Nemanja Spasovski and Osman Križevac were responsible for taking pictures, making jokes and helping with the translation if needed. We were impressed with the well equipped classrooms for practical teaching, a spacious gym and of course the kitchen. Later we went on a tour of the city of Maribor and take a coffee break.

"We had a great experience in Maribor; new ideas were born for the project through a mutual conversation about what we did and what remains to be done. It was great to meet new people, see new places and spend the day working in a different environment."

Sara Razum, School of Midwifery, Zagreb

"I felt on the exchange really great. I like school, how everything works, goals of the people who work in the hospital ... plus all the information I get and a lot of fun. I can’t wait to continue the cooperation with them and look forward to working together on this project."

Ana Marija Livančić, School of Midwifery, Zagreb

"Tour and friendship with guests from Zagreb we can easily describe with the word cool! It was interesting to hear how things work there and compare them with the situation in Maribor. Exchange was interesting and instructive, especially pleasant was when we walked together at Maribor where we get better knowing about the students from Zagreb. Time for coffee quickly flew. We are pleased that we are still in touch. We have shaped our group on Faceebook page (E-medica) where we often communicate."

Aldina Kovačič, Nemanja Spasovski & Osman Križevac, Secondary Medical and Cosmetology School Maribor
