Project Objectives: 
 
1. Introduction to the prejudices about nursing as a profession
2. Promoting awareness among students of medical schools, the importance of knowing the specific nursing sites outside the health care system.
 
Assignments: 
 

Students will conduct a survey of the students of secondary medical school (the survey is related to nursing as a profession and about the ability to work for nurses outside the health care system).
Acquisition of the theoretical foundations, basis or knowledge related to the work of a nurse outside the health care system.
Changing prejudice related to nursing as a profession.
Presentation of Good Practice Examples (Worksheets featured outside the health care system)
Preparation of presentations (Power Point).
Performing workshops for other students.
Visiting various institutions outside the health care system operated by nurses.
 

Collaborators:  Mentors and students, Employees of the institutions outside the health care system operated by nurses. 
 
Place of implementation:  School (classrooms), school (cabinet), institutions outside the health care system operated by nurses.

Expected Results:  Creating positive attitudes, changing / prejudices about nursing as a non-attractive profession
The acquisition of new skills that will benefit students in further professional work.
 
Risk Factors:

Student project lasting two years:
    1st year (June 2017 to April 2018)
    2nd year (April 2018 to April 2019)

Activities from June 2017 to April 2018:

December - Student conducted a survey in the first grades of the School of Nurses Vinogradska and Vrapče (the survey was related to prejudices related to nursing as a profession and about the ability to work nurses outside the health care system) and processed the obtained data
January - Visit to Hums and interview with President Tanja Lupieri, mag.med.techn.
January - Visit of Polikiniki Fresenius Medical Care / Sveti Duh 2 and an interview with Assistant Director for Sister Maria Giljom mag.med.techn.
February - visit to the School of Nurses Vinogradska and an interview with the Director of the Ph.D. Višnja Pranjić
During each interview, students record the materials that will be mounted at the end of the project in a short film
February - participation at the 11th Days of the "Days of E-Medical 2018":

Activities from April 2018 to April 2019
:

April - holding lectures at the Zagreb City Library on the topic: Attractiveness of the nursing profession
April - Students will conduct a survey in the fifth grade of the nursing school Vinogradska and Vrapče (the survey is the same as in the first grades) and will process the data obtained and compare whether there is a difference in the positions of the first and fifth grades
May - participation in public health activities as part of the celebration of the International Nurses Day
May - Lecture in elementary schools of the eighth grade on the topic: Attractiveness of the nursing profession
September / October - visit to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia and an interview with the nurse
October / November - visit to the Prison Hospital and an interview with a nurse
December - Visit to one of the editors of the sister magazine and interview
Assemble the recorded material in a short film about all the activities we have carried out in connection with the project
Participation at the 12th Days of "E-Medical Days 2019"
