PROJECT PHASES
In the initial phase of the “Human experimentation during the Second World War” project, leader and partner schools would agree upon a meeting at which they would present their ideas about the project development. They would distribute tasks among themselves evenly and set the date until which partner schools would send their work to the leader school. The work would include articles, interesting facts and information about the experiments.

In the second phase, schools would gather collected information about the conducted experiments. They would research where the experiments took place, criteria according to which participant were selected, the ways in which the experiments were conducted and their consequences. They would also research who were the main perpetrators and present their main motives for conducting experiments on people on the basis of available data.

In the final phase, the schools would finalize an interesting presentation that would encompass all of our goals. They would also record several interesting videos that would help us with the project’s presentation at the review.

Second student exchange and video-conferance in project "Experiments on People in World War II"
(January 10, 2020)

On Friday, January 10, 2020, a second student exchange and videoconference was carried out as part of the project "Experiments on People in World War II". The exchange was attended by the students of the Secondary Medical School Ante Kuzmanić Zadar, Lana Stipić and Paula Kašelić with their mentors Jelena Kevrić and Petar Karaga, the Medical School Split, Zoe Burazin with her mentors Marijana Geetz Kesić, the student of the High School Pregrada, Petra Klasić with her mentor Mario Sambolec and hosts from High School Čakovec, Manuel Korent and Abel Korunek with their mentors Maja Ivanus and Dunja Gašparić.

On this exchange we hosted students Danijel Fruk and Petra Klasic with their mentor Mario Sambolec from Pregrada Secondary School in Čakovec Secondary School and through video call they connected with other schools. We met the guests and hung out with them for food and drink, and after a short socializing we decided to start working on the project "Experiments on People in World War II".
In our joint research we found out some interesting and unusual and even a little scary information about the experiments conducted, such as fertilizing women with animal sperm. One of the experiments that particularly shocked us was a Russian experiment on five inmates who were given special gas that they couldn't sleep on and tried to keep them awake for 15 days. The experiment eventually ended fatal for all prisoners. When we combined all the information about the experiments into a frame presentation, we hung out with the guests for a little while and laughed with some anegdote during dinner. We exchanged the data we collected and combined into one presentation along with a survey we conducted among our peers.
In the end, it was agreed that the students of Čakovec High School would finish the presentation by the end.

(September 26, 2019)

The first student exchange and videoconference was implemented within the project “Experiments in the Second World War" on Wednesday, September 25th 2019. Lana Stipić and Paula Kašelić, together with their professors Jelena Kevrić and Petra Karaga from Ante Kuzmanić Medical School Zadar; Zoe Burazin with her professor Marijana Geetz Kesić from Split School of Health, Petra Klasić with her professor Mario Sambolec from Pregrada High School and Manuel Korent and Abel Korunek, with their mentors Maja Ivanuša and Dunja Gašparić from the hosting High School Čakovec participated in the exchange talk.

We furthermore agreed on the details of the cooperation and the ways of carrying out various phases of the project. Each of the schools was assigned with a specific task referring the experiments conducted in World War II each of them need to explore. Split Health School will explore experiments conducted in the US, Pregrada High School experiments conducted in Japan, Zadar students will explore Russian experiments, and Čakovec High School experiments conducted in Germany. Čakovec High School students will prepare some questions for the survey, and Zadar students will do a survey using a Google form.
All tasks should be completed by December when we expect a new exchange.
