(September 25 - 27, 2019)

Student exchange Medical School Šibenik, Dental School Beograd, Dental School Sarajevo and Pharmacy-Physiotherapy School Beograd working on projects “Causes and consequences of clinical death”, “Music therapy”, “Plague throughout history” and “Aqua aerobic - the power is in the water” was held September 25-27, 2019. The exchange was hosted by the Šibenik Medical School.

On the first day, students and mentors working on projects, and school principals, had their first working meeting at the school premises. After the introductory introduction, the coordinator of the Medical school and the organizer of this exchange, Snjezana Zaja, and the principal, Aleksandra Acalin, took the guests on a tour of the school and brought it closer to their work. Afterwards, we took guests through the old town of Šibenik, arranged a boat ride through the Šibenik canal and a visit to the fortress of Sv. Nicholas. Afternoon break followed, and then guests visited the most beautiful summer stage in this part of Europe at the Fortress of St. Mihovil, the patron saint of the town of Šibenik.
The second day also began with a gathering at the School, and continued with a tour of St. Jacob chatedral the UNESCO Cultural Heritage and by receiving the Mayor of Šibenik-Knin County, Goran Pauk, at the City Museum. After the reception with the mayor, students and mentors returned to school to working part of exchange. At the work part, by projects, students and mentors made a plan for their implementation, changed contacts and agreed on ways of further communication. To schools participating in projects, whose student could not be at the exchange, will be sent minutes of exchange work by project. The afternoon of the second day of the exchange was free for the informal socializing of the students and the evening for their mentors.
We ended the third day with a boat trip to the Krka National Park. We sent our dear guests at 7 pm.
The impressions of this meeting are extremely positive and we look forward to the next exchange and joint participation in the design and realization of the project.

 Students' impressions:
“The students of the Medical School in Šibenik are very similar to us. Smiling faces, warm looks and hugs were just the introduction to our new friendships. They arranged a great surprise for us, and it was a tour of the city filled with historical sites, architecture, nature and landscapes that adorn the beautiful Šibenik.”: Antea Vuković

“We brought a lot of memories, learned about the coastal life of the inhabitants of Šibenik, their culture and sights, and even tasted delicious jujube. The sympathetic name and sweet taste of this Šibenik fruit tree has left an unforgettable memory for our stomachs.”: Katarina Pešić

“Šibenik, a city of warmth and love will be a special place in our memories, and we look forward to meeting new friends with our friends. Belgrade, a city with a wide heart, eagerly awaits them and looks forward to seeing them again. For the feelings and warmth we felt during the trip, we thank our hosts, and our teachers, who trusted us, and made us proud because we are part of our Dental School.: Emilija Đorđević
