Target Group:

Project Objectives: 

To explore the use of flax and flax made products in the old days and now.
 

Tasks: 
 

To encourage students to explore, evaluate, and promote linen production as part of their regional heritage and an important feature of their cultural identity and to rescue from oblivion the culture of linen clothing items production.
To explore and describe healing properties, nutritional benefits, and the use of flax-based products (e.g. flax seeds and flaxseed oil).
 

Collaborators: 
 

Schools, mentors, administrative and professional school service, different school subjects teachers, City Museum, City Library. 
 

Place of implementation:  In the Home Institution.
 
Duration (phases):

From January 2014 to October 2014
 

Expected Results: 
 
To encourage young people to revive farm and cultural heritage through entrepreneurship (flax production, and starting workshops for the manufacturing of linen and flax made products).
 
Risk Factors:  Shortage of funds and/or project partners.
