Project Objectives: 
 
  • Estimate the possibilities for organizing and conducting health tourism within the local area
  • Prevention and rehabilitation of a person through health tourism
  • Describe the activities included in health tourism throughout a year (spring, summer, autumn, winter) at the continent and the seaside
  • Think out possibilities/examples of the continental health tourism through the use of the natural resources of the area
  • Think out possibilities/examples of the seaside health tourism through the use of the natural resources of the area
  • Think out promotional material for advertsing of the health tourism
  • Co-operate with the local community, tourist agencies, institutions involved in the health tourism in the area
  • Develop communicational and social skills of the students
  • Promoting team work and co-operation
  • Promote peer education
TASKS
 

The research on the project: distributing assignments to the students, the research in the theoretical part/materials, the research of the existing materials covering the health tourism in the area, working out the new possibilities for organizing and conducting health tourism in the area, and producing the promotional material for advertising the health tourism of the area

  • Collect information about the services provided during the atypical part of the year:
    Zadar and the surrounding area- winter (December-March)
    Pregrada and the surrounding area- autumn (September- December)
    Novo mesto- summer (June- September)
    Zagreb and the surrounding area- spring (March- June)
  • Estimate the possibilities for the improvement of the health condition of an individual after the specific use of the health tourism, in relation to the specific health problems (eg. Myocardial infarction, hip surgeries, etc.)

Visit and develop co-operation with institutions already involved in health tourism in the local area, tourist agencies, etc.
Students exchange programme.
Producing promotional material for advertising and final presentation.

 Second Students Exchange:
Students from Zagreb and Pregrada visited Novo Mesto


     Within the E-medica project on "Health Tourism", students of School for Nursing Mlinarska, Zagreb accompomed by fellow colleagnes from Secondary Medical School Pregrada visited Novo Mesto on 1st and 2nd October 2015. We were welcomed by students and their mentors of Secondary Medical and Chemical School Novo Mesto.
 
   Together we had a tour of the thermal resort "Šmarješke toplice" under the guidance of the head of the resort dr Danilo Radošević, internist. We were delighted by the care and treatment provided for each and every patient.    After a short lecture on the program of the facility we were all offened a delicious and healthy dessert.
   Our next stop was Otočec where we were taught nordic walking ond playing golf with
prof. Mirjam Bauer.
   In Secondary Medical and Chemical School Novo Mesto, where we was guests of headmaster
Damjana Papež, we presented our activities within the project and arranged further cooperation.
   In the evening prof. Svjetlana Ćirković showed us the sights of Novo Mesto.
   The next morning we had a tour of the school and took part in some classes. We were shown the school cabinets and the dorm. At the end we had a presentation about our work on the project.
   Thanks to dear hosts we really enjoyed our stay in Novo Mesto and are looking forward to further cooperation.

Secondary Medical and Chemical School Novo Mesto and High School Pregrada
 


 

   The first exchange of students as part of the "Health Tourism" was held on March 19th 2015 at the School for nurses Mlinarska in Zagreb. On exchange, students came from Secondary Medical and Chemical School Novo Mesto and High school Pregrada. The students from the Maritime School from Zadar are also participating in project, but they excused themselves. After a short introduction and touring around school, students where presenting finished parts of their activities. Every school had task to research in their communities possibilities for development of health tourism. Based on this present work results it was conducted discussion about difference between active and health tourism and role of young people in it. It was also discussed about future exchanges and possible institutions which could be visited. After that lunch was organized in dining room of boarding school.


   After lunch, panoramic view of Zagreb was presented to the guests and according to the theme of project Bundek lake was visited with enjoyment in beautiful weather and nature. Walk was unique way to present utility of space near the Bundek lake for health tourism.
