Target Group:  The students of participating schools.
 
Project Objectives: 
 
Define the therapeutic effects of sport in people with disabilities. Learn about the organization of paraolympic sports. Recognize the effects of physical activity on health in healthy individuals and people with disabilities. Develop a positive body image.
 
Tasks
 

Talk to athletes with disabilities. Research the therapeutic effects of sport on people with disabilities. Learn about their challenges when participating in sports. Show the results of top Croatian paraolympic athetes.
 

Collaborators:  Athletes with disabilities, teachers.
  
Place of implementation:  Zagreb, Šibenik, Čakovec and Tuheljske toplice.
 
Duration (phases):  2016. phase 1 – registration of the project, task schedule – June 2016
phase 2 – data collection, analysis – September – October 2016
phase3  – teacher and student meeting, live cooperation and
cooperation using IT (Skype) – October – December 2016
phase 4 – creation of the final presentation and its showing at the
E- medica meeting – January 2017
 
Expected Results:  The project will help the students develop a positive body image, empathy, tolerance for different people, and a positive life attitude. It will also improve the level of acceptance and inclusivity of people with disabilities in the community.
 
Risk Factors:

Lack of resources (money for travel and accommodation).
