High school students involved in the E-medical project, interested students from various schools for participating in the project.
 

Project Objectives: 
 
- Expand knowledge of the importance of balance in life as well as in physiotherapy / rehabilitation itself
- Explain how balance works, and how to maintain it
- Develop awareness of possible injuries if the balance is broken
- A review of expert articles on this subject and exercises that improve balance in the
proprioceptibility by exercise balance, and how exercises affect the muscles and joints (especially in athletes - knee injuries prevention).
 
Tasks
 

- explain what balance / balance is, how to preserve and improve it
- emphasize the importance of exercising on balance boards
- detect risk groups for injuries
- show through exercises to prevent injuries (for athletes)
- show and demonstrate exercise on balance board

PROJECT GOAL

- expand knowledge of the importance of balance in life as well as in physiotherapy / rehabilitation itself
- explain how balance works, and how to maintain it
- develop awareness of possible injuries if the balance is broken
- a review of expert articles on this subject and exercises that improve balance in the proprioceptibility by exercise balance, and how exercises affect the muscles and joints (especially in athletes - knee injuries prevention)..


SUMMARY
   Proprioception is important for the everyday man's bodily functions (actions) that mainly take place unconsciously, like those jednostvnih such as walking, driving a car, typing on a computer, cell phone, etc., To the more complex motor tasks. Sensory organs - proprioceptors, in cooperation with the central nervous system regulates movement, posture and balance and therefore maintain their good tool very important. Insufficient stimulation of proprioceptors, which is usually a result of a sedentary lifestyle or injuries of the joints, muscles and tendons, may impair their function, which will undermine stability, and balance the body, which will again lead to a weakening of some motor function. Exercises proprioception because of its impact on the improvement of other motor skills, are now an indispensable part of any type of training, both in sport and in recreation, but also, many studies have indicated their importance in the prevention of injury, as well as their application in all stages of rehabilitation after injuries. Props for proprioception exercises, acting on the sudden, unpredictable movements and learn body that quickly responds to them without thinking. In other words, the above requisites are learning body that conscious action turn into unconscious, ie. To automatically respond to such challenges, "most effective environmental movement that will stabilize. Implementation exercise proprioception in teaching physical education, a great benefit in improving the stability, balance, agility and coordination students. Also, it is important to note that the exercise except with the help of sports, can run without them and are therefore easily applicable to all operating conditions.

Stage 1 ( March, April 2018)
a. dmeeting with the school coordinator Snežana Žaja concerning the project application at the 11th Review Days of E-medica
b. selection of the project name ''Balans-Platform of life''
c. working on the general project plan
d. the idea of the project is to:
  
the first inter-linking objects profession (kinesiotherapy) and Physical Education
   • examine disease and injury in which the vulnerable balance and proprioception
   • foster a culture of exercise and recreation
   • the theme of the project included as an integral part of teaching units vocational subjects
   • stimulate students for individual conduction, analysis, comparison, decison making, problem solving, expressing opinion, discussion and project workmanship with the aim of educationg and preparing themselves for lifelong learning, advancement and professional reseach work.
   • stimulate development of personal opinions and practise debating between the participants
   • stimulate team work and cooperation
   • present the project in a serious, interesting and educational way
   • enhance interest for simultaneous study from various sources of knowledge with the aim of research, creation and realization of projects
   • make reseach and learning interesting and entertaining
   • stimulate and educate other students to become participants of similar projects
   • comprehending and learning new facts
   • enabling the production of on-line contents that are suitable for e-learning in the later phases of the project
   • development of learning strategies and life skills
   • peer education

Stage 2 (May/June 2018)
a. Constant communication, additional education and monitoring of the project
b. Exchange of students' ideas within a certain school as to how to realize the project
c. Exchange of information, coordination and agreement concerning the way in which the project will be realized among the school participants
d. Defining the activities of certain schools and agreement on the dates that need to be met
e. The beginning of students' activities on the project
f. Participating at net-meetings
g. Supervising the realization of the project, analysing the work that has been done, noticing problems and risks, solving problems and constant coordination and cooperation with vocational supervisors and school coordinators, as well as the project manager of E-medica

Stage 3 (September,October,November 2018)
a. Analysis of the work done, evaluation of the 1st and 2nd phases
b. Planning the upgrading of the project
c. Communication between the school participants by means of net meetings
d. Planning the exchange of one or two students (one in every school participant) with the aim of analysing the work that has been done as well as agreeing upon further steps that need to be taken for the realization of the project, in order for the students to get to know each other better and for informal socialising
e. Agreeing on the way in which the project will be presented, which was the result of team work of the school participants
f. Practising presenting the project
g. Unifying the activities in one single project with a division of tasks

Stage 4 (January, Februaury 2019)
a. Finishing the realization of the project

On Friday, December 07, 2018, was held a video conference of the project "Balance-platform of life", attended by students and mentors Medical school Šibenik and High school Pakrac .
   The subject of the video conference was the work on the joint project "Balance –platform of life", and the host was Šibenik Medical School with students Nikolina Lugović and Josipa Grcić together with their mentor Hrvoje Petrović.

   Together with the students of the Pakrac High School, Anamarija Starčević and Isabella Havranek in the presence of their mentor Matej Visković, we agreed on guidelines for joint action and shared the tasks for the realization of the project. During the conference we talked about individual topics from the field of physical therapy that will form the axis of the project.
   The project's work involved several institutions including the Polyclinic Body Balance in Zagreb, Lipik Special Medical Hospital for Rehabilitation and the General Hospital Šibenik.
   In addition, we would mention the announced visit of all participants of the Body Balance Polyclinic, which would be realised through January 2019. The visit served as a kind of exercise discipline of students who had not yet met the therapeutic modalities important for the creation of a project whose theme was exclusively related to them.

   At the end of the video conferencing, students agreed to further co-operate through social networks, creating groups on Facebook platforms and WhatsApp.
